Graphic Design

My mother, who attended UW Madison, is a graphic designer, and one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to digital design. She was the first person to introduce me to photoshop when I was young, and my interest has never faded. Using graphic design as a tool for both fashion and art is one of my favorite aspects of design. The ability to constantly learn a new trick or method (usually thanks to my mom!) to graphically design is always a gift. Below is a large range of some of my best work that I have done in the graphic design area!

Jumping Beans — Design Challenge

Titled “Sunsafe & Rashguard Swimwear: Jumping Beans” | August 2024 Collection

During my time as an Apparel Design Intern at Kohl’s, each intern was tasked to find the white space within one of the private brands, and create a collection from start to finish. Jumping Beans, a children’s wear line was an area of apparel design that I wanted to challenge myself to try. Through cross functional communication and brand research, I created Sunsafe & Rashguard Swimwear for Jumping Beans!

Croft & Barrow — Design Challenge

Titled “The Croft Perennial” | July 2024 Collection

During my time as an Apparel Design Intern at Kohl’s, each intern was tasked to find the white space within the brand we were on, and create a collection from start to finish. The Croft & Barrow style was very classic, so finding a white space to develop was a fun experience. With assistance from my team and cross function partners, I created The Croft Perennial for Croft & Barrow!

At The Table

Madison Market Mural Competition Winner

Titled “At The Table” | December 2024

The Madison Market Mural Competition was a design competition created for student designers and presented to the Madison Art Commission Committee. Through group and class research, this mural captures Madison, Wisconsin’s food history, culture, and traditions! As the selected winner by the board, At The Table is the modeled design for the Madison Market opening in late 2025!

Reason & Flair

Titled “Reason & Flair” | December 2021

Design Concept Prompt: Design a book cover that graphically communicates its written content. Identify concepts of symbolism in graphic design and generating ideas by using visual research

This project gave me the opportunity to research a book about fashion and develop my own art based on its content. I chose Reason and Flair by Karolina Sulej, focusing on 100 years of fashion and culture in Poland. The cover of my book is a silhouette of a woman in a dress to represent fashion, and the repeated title as an outline. I used contrasting colors of red and cream, similar to the book itself.

Titled “The Sustainable Living Guide Magazine” | April 2024 Collection

Design Concept Prompt: Find a way to educate fellow students & the community about fashion sustainability, while incorporating sustainable practices that can be done in real time

Throughout my semester in Sustainable Clothing & Ethical Fashion, finding ways to be 100% sustainable felt unattainable at times. When thinking of ways to educate people about fashion sustainability, I wanted to teach about small ways to do basic things, and share stories of sustainability.

Titled “Impenetrable” | May 2023 Collection

Design Concept Prompt: Using a customer, brand identity and competition, create a product line by creating illustrations and generating them into your product category to sell

For this collection, I wanted to create a collection that could be incorporated into daily life, specifically items within the home, just as the plates were in my life. I wanted to create something that had intricate designs, specifically because you don’t notice right away. These designs are full of details that fill the room, whether you need to take a step closer to look or not. This collection focuses on the small beauties in life, and should do the same for the place they are in.

September Somber

Titled “September Somber” | May 2023 Collection

Design Concept Prompt: Using a collection using CLO 3D, with multiple color ways of each garment

September Somber is a collection created digitally on CLO 3D, focusing on pattern and color. As one of my first rendered garments, this collection was experimental and quite an interesting experience. I learned how to quickly change a color way, (most difficulty on pattern) ensuring that the garment itself is not adapted during the change.

Aerie 1986

Titled “Aerie 1986” | May 2023

Design Concept Prompt: Design a garment for the brand inspired by a different time period, distinct from the current era their products are aligned with

This collection was a collaborative project, with each group member designing their own garments. We chose Aerie, a brand focused on comfortable, colorful garments, to be the brand we wanted to translate to a different time period. The 1980’s was a time of bright colors, patterns and accessories. We saw a lot of similar aesthetics when researching Aerie, and felt it was the most perfect fit!

Titled “Handworn Jewels” | May 2023 Collection

Design Concept Prompt: Using a customer, brand identity and competition, create a product line by creating illustrations and generating them into your product category to sell

For this collection, I wanted to create a collection that could be incorporated into daily life, specifically items within the home, just as the plates were in my life.
